AtWork Group, an award-winning national staffing franchise, hosted its annual franchise conference at Pier South Resort in Imperial Beach, California, Sept. 17-19. In addition to providing seminars, training, and various roundtable discussions, the franchise honored multiple franchisees for their commitment to success at the AtWork Awards Dinner.

“Our annual conference is one of my favorite times of the year,” said Jason Leverant, president and COO of AtWork Group. “With nearly 100 locations across the U.S., it’s a chance for all AtWork franchisees to come together, to share knowledge, learn from each other, and to relax in a beautiful setting to celebrate our successes.”

The AtWork Group Franchise Conference allowed all attending AtWork owners and employees to benefit from special training sessions, in-depth industry discussions, and vendor networking breaks. The keynote speakers were Colette Carlson, a human behavior expert who inspires individuals to connect and communicate in real and relevant ways, Tom Erb, a top staffing and recruiting expert who has helped hundreds of firms create and execute sales and recruiting strategies for their businesses, and Tim David, author and influential communication expert who was the surprise speaker for the event.

The AtWork Awards Dinner, which was hosted on the rooftop of the Pier South Resort and catered by Sea 180 Coastal Tavern, recognized individual franchise locations for outstanding sales in the last year. Twenty-one franchise locations received Bronze Awards ($1 million to $2.5 million in sales), 15 locations received Silver Awards ($2.5 million to $5 million in sales), six locations received Gold Awards ($5 million to $7.5 million in sales), and three locations were honored with Platinum Awards ($7.5 million to $10 million in sales).

Nine locations received the Chairman’s Award, which is the top revenue prize for franchise locations that generated more than $10 million in sales. They are the office locations in:

• Allentown, Pa.
• Bowling Green, Ky.
• Methuen, Mass.
• Morristown, Tenn.
• Jessup, Md.
• Pooler, Ga.
• Reading, Pa.
• Salinas, Calif.
• Visalia, Calif.

The Rookie of the Year Award went to Unnati Patel, owner of the Orlando, Florida, location. The Rising Star Awards went to Daryl Ayers from Warren, Michigan, Kendra Williams from New Orleans, and Nathan Dibagno from Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

Debbie Moody from Brewer, Maine, received the AtWork for You Award, which honors the person who best exemplifies AtWork’s mission and core values.

Ivanna Beltran from Temecula, California, received the inaugural Cruisin’ & Crushin’ It award, which honors the AtWork employee who most consistently performed above expectations.

In celebration of AtWork’s 25th year anniversary, the theme for this year’s conference was “Past. Present. Future.” John D. Hall, Jr. staffing pioneer and CEO of AtWork Group, together with his wife, Glenda, laid the foundation for what would become AtWork Group in 1992. Today, AtWork is one of the leading staffing providers in the U.S. and a top franchise opportunity for those seeking to build their own staffing businesses. The company plans to award more than 100 new franchise locations to local entrepreneurs by 2022.
