As technology continues to advance, the way we search for jobs changes. If you’re going through the job search process now, you probably already know about job board sites like Indeed and Monster. Both are valuable resources, but did you know that social media is also a great place to look, too? Here’s a couple social media sites to check:

LinkedIn

Because LinkedIn is created to be a professional social media site, it only makes sense that recruiters and job seekers alike would utilize it. LinkedIn offers a robust job feature that allows you to search by key words and location with several filter options. You can also save searches and choose to receive job alerts for those searches. However, the jobs feature isn’t the only way to use LinkedIn to find a job. You should also regularly check the home page to see if any of your connections have announced a position at their company, and having a connection will give you a bit leverage at that company, too.

Facebook

Believe it or not, Facebook can also be a valuable tool for your job search. Companies can now post job listings on their pages, and it’s not uncommon to see a promoted post about open positions while you’re scrolling through your newsfeed. You can also go to the search bar and type, for example, “Jobs in Knoxville, Tennessee,” and you will likely find a few Facebook groups dedicated to sharing open positions in your area.

Of course, these aren’t your only options. Utilizing a staffing company like AtWork can be beneficial because a recruiter can help match you to a great position. If a staffing company seems like the right option, we’d love to be AtWork for YOU! Visit AtWork.com/Locations to find an office near you.
